Doug has been my appliance service man for quite a few years. I consider him very knowledgeable and trust his recommendations! I highly recommend him for any appliance servicing.
I recently had a service call from Brown's to look at an issue I had with a dryer door. Turned out to be a misaligned door and the problem was fixed in only a couple of mintues. They charged me over $59 for the call (the service person/owner only lives a couple of houses down, but charged me $45 for the service call + labor.) While I do think I should have been charged something, I think $59+ was unreasonable. He then required payment on the spot (which was never mentioned when the service call was set up.) I think that for the service perform, the bill was out of line and overpriced. While they were not rude, I disagree with how they handled the situation. I would recommend caution before using Brown's for any service for appliances and make sure you understand the billing structure before using.
